The Sun Fire[tm] V480 server is positioned at the high-end of Sun's
powerful line of rack-optimized, entry-level servers. Featuring two or
four 900 MHz award-winning UltraSPARC® III Cu processors,
up to 32 GB of memory, two hot-plug FC-AL disks, two hot-swappable
(N+1) power supplies, dual integrated 10/100/1000-Mbps Ethernet, 6 PCI
slots, and Remote System Control in a 5RU, 24-inch deep, rack-optimized
chassis. The Sun Fire V480 server gives customers the flexibility to
scale their processing needs without wasting precious space.

900 MHz UltraSPARC III Cu processors with up to 8 MB of cache per
processor. The Sun Fire V480 server supports up to 32 GB of memory. All
memory is accessible by any processor.
The Sun Fire V480 server also comes with a DVD-ROM drive, two
hot-swappable (N+1) power supplies, two hot-pluggable Fibre Channel
disks, two integrated dual 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, and six PCI
slots, all in a 5 RU, 24-inch deep, rack-optimized chassis.
The Sun Fire V480 server runs on the Solaris 8 Operating Environment
or later; applications developed under previous Solaris platforms are
fully compatible.
