Sun Microsystem's Netra ft 1800 is a high-performance, fully fault-tolerant server based on Sun's standard technology and operating environment.

The Netra ft 1800 fault-tolerant server is a modular design consisting of duplicated processing, storage and I/O elements. All of these modules can be inserted or removed while the system is operating. This system has the ability to isolate and recover from any hardware failure in less than a second without losing any data. The Netra ft 1800 server's design has thus eliminated all single points of failure and is capable of providing continuous availability.

The Netra ft 1800 server complies with the most demanding Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) Level 3 standards and it's system has also been certified to that same level.
